Company Data API

Programmatic access to official Romanian company data: every company registered with ANAF and with the Trade Register, annual financial statements from 2020 to the last closed fiscal year, directors and legal representatives.

Official Romanian company data, in one place

Checking a company usually means three or four websites open side by side and manual copy-paste into a CRM. We gathered that information into a single service your applications can query directly: send the tax code, get the full company profile back.

It is the same service we use in our own client projects — CRMs, invoicing systems, onboarding flows — and we make it available to outside partners as well.

What we cover

  • Every company registered with ANAF — including entities that never appear in the Trade Register: associations, foundations, religious organisations, schools, hospitals, public institutions, authorised individuals (PFA).
  • Every company registered with the Trade Register (Registrul Comerțului) — commercial companies, with their registration number, EUID, legal form and registration date.
  • Annual financial data, from 2020 through the last closed and published fiscal year.
  • Directors and legal representatives, both individuals and legal entities.

The double coverage matters in practice. A database built on the Trade Register alone holds nothing about a foundation, an association or a school — and those are exactly the tax codes that stall an onboarding flow at month end, when nobody has time to look them up by hand.

What a company profile contains

Identity

Name, tax code (CUI), Trade Register number, EUID, legal form, registration date.

Status

Whether the company is active, together with the registered statuses and mentions — struck off, suspended, dissolved, insolvent and the rest — each with its label, not just a code. Plus VAT-payer status.

Registered office and contact

County, locality, street, number, building, entrance, floor, apartment, sector and postcode, both as separate fields and as one formatted address. Phone number and website where they have been declared.

Business activity

CAEN codes, main and secondary, each with the activity description.

People

Directors — individuals and legal entities — and legal representatives, with the capacity they hold.

Financial statements, 2020 → last closed year

  • Turnover, total revenue, total expenses
  • Gross profit and gross loss, net profit and net loss
  • Number of employees
  • Fixed assets, current assets, inventory, receivables, cash and bank accounts
  • Liabilities, equity, subscribed capital, provisions, deferred income and expenses

Every year comes as its own record, so you don’t get a single snapshot of the present but a trajectory: turnover rising or falling, the year a company slipped from profit into loss, headcount moving.

Where it helps

  • Onboarding and KYB — validate a customer the moment they give you a tax code, with no mistyped forms and no corrections later.
  • CRM and ERP — auto-fill name, registered office, activity codes and directors when a new customer record is created.
  • Risk and creditworthiness — turnover, net result and headcount across several years, alongside the current legal status.
  • Prospecting and segmentation — build target lists by activity, county, size or financial trend.
  • Cleaning an existing database — run your current portfolio through the API and find out what changed: names, addresses, directors, companies that are no longer active.

Why us

  • One integration for identity, status, activity, people and financials — not four sources in four different formats.
  • Double coverage, ANAF and the Trade Register, so far fewer tax codes come back empty.
  • Multi-year financial history, not just the latest published set of accounts.
  • Data from official Romanian state sources, served as published, without our interpretation layered on top.
  • Our own infrastructure, in Romania, run by our team — the same as our AI services.
  • Support from people who write software, not from a ticket form: if you need a particular shape of data or an integration into your own system, we’ll talk it through.

How to get access

Access is arranged by conversation rather than self-service sign-up — tell us what you are trying to solve, we tell you whether and how we cover it, then you get the access and the documentation.
